Offer Amounts

We are keen that both your valuable time and ours is preserved by avoiding protracted negotiations from widely varying starting points. Consequently, we would like to provide some guidance.

The average domain name sale value is around $2,500 USD with a range from around $900 USD up to around $6,500 USD, with a few outliers at the upper end for domains in specialties commanding greater value. Our goal is to arrive at a fair and reasonable exchange value, based upon commercial potential and we strive hard to reach agreement.

Domain Transfers and Escrow

All purchases and domain transfers will be handled by Sedo Escrow Services (http://www.sedo.co.uk/services/s_escrow.php) as a security measure for both yourselves and us. Escrow works by Sedo holding your funds and our domains until all administration & contracts are complete and then swapping over funds and domains, in much the same way as a solicitor handles a house purchase. Current fees for this are:

.co.uk domains - 3% of the bid price or 100 euro (£70) minimum charge, whichever is the greater
.com domains - 3% of the bid price or 50 euro (£35) minimum charge, whichever is the greater

Buyers not wishing to use Escrow services, possibly on lower price domains or where they have purchased a significant number, may request to conduct the transaction directly with us. Under these circumstances we will be happy to transfer domains once we have received cleared funds, including any specific costs we incur in the transfer process. At that point we will transfer the domains to the new owners.
